Nestled in the Shivalik foothills at the northern periphery of the State of Punjab, The Kikar Lodge is India's First Private Forest Reserve spread over 1800 acres of forest, a secluded haven of luscious green splendour.

Named after the Kikar tree resting on top of a nearby hill, The Kikar Lodge is a perfect place for those who want their Holiday or Corporate events to be that of tranquil luxury combined with the thrill of adventure and excitement. Just two hours from Chandigarh, The Kikar Lodge offers a rare opportunity to discover wildlife in their natural habitat. :The Kikar Lodge is open all year through, the best time to visit would be between October and April, the cooler months.

Accommodation :From the 22 Luxury air-conditioned cottages and 8 deluxe rooms at offer. All the tastefully appointed rooms and cottages are equipped with comfortable facilities such as LCD TV, writing desk, built in cupboards, mini-refrigerators, 24 hour power back-up, tea & coffee makers, and attached bathroom with all amenities.

Forest View:A short walk from the reception area, the twelve forest view cottages boast of their own private sit out area, a small garden and a magnificent view of the expansive forest.
This cluster of cottages is a hot favorite especially for corporate clients or family groups with a large number of people wanting to reside in close proximity. Wake up to the sound of bird calls in the Forest view rooms which are spacious with teak wood flooring. The bathroom has a skylight from which natural light streams in, bringing you closer to nature in every way possible.

Deluxe Rooms:Built as double storey blocks, the eight lake view rooms are divided into deluxe suites and rooms. Master suites have separate living areas with an earthy feel, overlooking the lush green meadow. The living room comes equipped with a sofa-cum bed, great for that extra guest, a television, small refrigerator, writing desk. The deluxe rooms have similar additions as the Master suites, excluding the living area. Along with teak wood flooring and warm clay tiles, one can also enjoy the immensely comfortable beds with crisp white sheets placed to perfection.

Pool View:Ten spacious cottages overlooking the three pools, are equipped with comfortable double beds, teak wood flooring, large mirror and a dresser. The advantage here is the proximity and gorgeous view of to the three swimming pools and, shack and amphitheatre area. Like the lake view rooms, these rooms are also divided into master suites and deluxe. Master suites have separate living areas, along with private sit out area.

The deluxe rooms have similar additions as the Master suites excluding the living area. They come fully equipped with a built in cupboard, writing desk, elegantly designed bathroom and a comfortable bed and not to miss out on the great views.

Pheasants Nest:A multi cuisine air-conditioned restaurant which offers delectable Indian, excellent Continental and Chinese cuisine. It provides a choice of Buffet, a'la carte Menu, as wall as a Kiddies Menu. You wouldn’t want to miss out on the splendid food at offer here!

Watering Hole: The bar has a nice retro Australian feel to it, where one can lay back and enjoy a drink while over looking from a window as the sun goes down and the lights from the shack shimmer on the pool. You can also avail Happy Hour from 5pm-7pm.

And those not keen on roughing out on our high adrenalin adventure activities, they can enjoy a quiet walk up to the Kikar tree and bask in the glorious sunrise/ sunset views or catch the wild animals in their natural habitat from the confines of an open jeep, if someone gets lucky the elusive barasingha or the leopard are up for spotting, besides wild boars, barking dear, sambhar and many more.

Wellness :Lastly those who want to laze and unwind they can head to the Forest Spa where trained masseurs offer spa treatments. Here you can choose from a head massage, full body massage, hand & feet massage, neck & back massage, Shirodhara (Kerala oil massage) treatment, sauna bath and even try out a steam bath, with equipment used even in the olden days. The idea here would be for you to just surrender yourself in our hands.

Getting There :

Road: The Kikar Lodge is located 320 Kms from Delhi via Panipat, Ambala, Chandigarh.
From Chandigarh it is 70 Kms via Mohali and Ropar. On arrival at Ropar (do not take the right turn to Manali), cross the Satluj Barrage, at the end of the barrage, turn right and continue for 27 Kms to Nurpur Bedi. The Kikar Lodge is about 3 Kms from Nurpur Bedi (follow signages)

Rail:The nearest Station is Anandpur Sahib (about 14 kms or 20 min drive). The Kikar Lodge is about 70 Kms from the Chandigarh Station (1hr 30 min drive).

Air:The nearest well connected Airport is Chandigarh which is well connected from all metros.
