Airway Tips
|
|
 |
|
|
- Ensure to give your travel agent or the
Indian Airlines Reservation official your residential/official telephone numbers at the
time of booking of at your origin and destination points. This will help them to inform
you in case of delays/disruptions of your flight in advance.
- In Mumbai if you are boarding the flight
from Sahar Airport, please ensure that you leave early from your place because of heavy
traffic on the way to Sahar Airport at Andheri due to construction of flyovers.
- Look out for special counters in the
departure lounge where you can check in if you have hand baggage only.
- Always lock your bags. Put your name and
address (legibly) on the inside and your name and destination outside.

- Remove the old tags from the previous
trips, and be sure your bags are tagged with the proper destination and flight number on
new tags. 6. Pack as if you were never going to see your bag again. Keep valuables and a
change of clothing in your carry-on bag.
- Always identify your baggage and other
handbags before boarding the flight in India.
- In Mumbai two separate departure/arrival
lounges for various airlines situated in the vicinity of 0.25 Km. i.e. one for Indian
Airlines and other for private airlines.
- If you are booked to travel in India
with International routes combined you have to board from the Sahar Airport. e.g. If you
are going to Delhi on an Air India flight.
