As you enter the White House Villa,
you’ll be welcomed by two beautiful temples that immediately set you
at ease, and hint at the homestay’s extraordinary character. While
most homes have a garden, this one has a sprawling lawn with
fountains gurgling and swings squeaking in the background. The White
House is also home to a flock of ducks, their adorable ducklings and
chirping birds that live in the Villa’s personal aviary.
This unique and esteemed homestay has
built its enviable reputation thanks to the hard work and care of Mr.
and Mrs. Malhotra, who have managed it for the last eight years. One of
the biggest residential properties in Ajmer, The White House boasts of 8
spacious guest rooms and an independent cottage. While the four rooms in
the West Wing have a garden view, the other rooms have a large terrace
at their disposal. The homestay has a traditional and vibrant ambience
which is complemented by the overtly ethnic appearance of its
independent cottage. With more greenery than concrete on its grounds,
it’s easy to see why Mr. Malhotras see their home as a boutique resort.
Besides providing a comfortable stay at
the Villa itself, Mr. Malhotra arranges tours to all major tourist
destinations, most of which are just a short drive away. For guests
visiting the Dargah, he’ll insist on coordinating with a Khadim to
escort them and ensure their safety. The Malhotras have even gone
through the trouble of providing comfortable rooms for staff members
that may accompany their guests. With so much thought put into every
aspect of the homestay, there’s little wonder why the White House Villa
possesses a loyal clientele which returns every year. And why it even
has advance bookings for the several months.
