 Sugan Niwas is a colonial palace built in the early nineteen forties by
Late Thakur Bhagirath Singhji of Khatipura. His son Thakur Arun Singh,
the present owner converted it into a Heritage Boutique Hotel. Thakur
Arun Singh belongs to the Tomar clan of Rajputs who ruled over Delhi and
Gwalior. Rao Bahadur Raja Jeevraj Singhji of Reri (Great Grandfather of
Thakur Arun Singh) settled down in Jaipur in 1922. He was the father in
law of Maharaja Sawai Madho Singhji II of Jaipur. His son Lt. Col. R.K.
Ranjit Singhji OBE, was an outstanding polo player from 1902 till 1931.
Arun Singh is a Hotelier by profession. Sugan Niwas Palace was
extensively renovated by him and his wife Thakurani Geetika Kumari.
Great care was taken to maintain the colonial character of the palace.
Family memorabilia and portraits adorn the private sitting rooms of the
family.
Centrally situated in the midst of The Pink City, Sugan Niwas Palace is
surrounded by artistically landscaped lush green gardens where peacocks
dance with gay abandon, and the ambience of the surroundings take you
back to a bygone era.
Sugan Niwas Palace is a boutique heritage Hotel situated in the heart of
Jaipur, in the exclusive Bani Park area. The hotel is immediately behind
the Central Bus Stand, and is 1 km from the Jaipur Railway Station, and
12 kilometers from the Airport. The downtown business center of Jaipur
and the old walled Pink City are within a one kilometer radius of the
Hotel. Sugan Niwas Palace is set in a lush landscaped garden on a plot
area of 4000 square yards. There are Sixteen luxuriously furnished
bespoke Double rooms with attached bathrooms. The rooms are
Air-Conditioned, and have Telephones and color Television sets. There is
a multi-cuisine restaurant "Saffron" serving breakfast, lunch, and
dinner, and 24 hours Room Service. Other facilities provided are Travel
arrangements, a business center with an internet facility, and ample
parking for cars, and massive private lawns to host Gala Events. The bar
and swimming pool will be commissioned shortly.

Saffron
the main dining room is open for all meal periods. The menu is a mix
of home style Indian & comfort western food, however we encourage you
to communicate your preferences or any special dietary requests to us.
While Saffron Serves as
the main dining room for all meal periods, we encourage our guests to
tell us their meal preferences or any special dietary requirements
they might have, prior notice of one meal would be appreciated for all
such special requests. Our cooks will be only too happy to prepare
