We are a team of young enterprising
professionals in the company and are quality camp site operators having
our own tents and own manufacturing facility for tents.
We have to our credit some of the most prestigious and never before
attempted tented camps in the country which includes a fully
air-conditioned camp site during the Kumbh Mela at Ujjain in Madhya
Pradesh during the summer months of April and May 2004, where not only
did we indigenously invent mobile air conditioned tents but successfully
used them for the entire event in the scorching temperatures of central
India. We also manufactured, for the event, air conditioned dining and
lounge tents.
Kalachakra 2006 was held at Amaravati Guntur AP where the entire luxury
section was established and operated by us. All the private guests of
His Holiness stayed with us. We had a mix of 520 tents for duration of
20 days. The arrangement, execution and smooth functioning was well
appreciated and and as a token of appreciation the entire team was
honored by the chairman of the organizing committee [ex prime minister
of Tibet] on the concluding day. His Holiness the Dalai Lama presided
over the function
Thar Camps also operates camps at Pushkar, Nagaur, Jaisalmer during the
fairs each year. We also undertake private camping for various camping
events and can offer exotic and exclusive camping destinations in India.
Thar Camps is also perhaps the only company in India which offer private
luxury camps any were in the country. Thar Camps can also organize along
with various adventure activities for the guests at each location.
Maha Kumbh Mela - The biggest
religious ceremony in the world, known as “Maha Kumbh Mela” (Great
Festival of Urn), took place for the last time in this millennium in
the northern Indian town of Hardwar on the banks of river Ganges. In
2010, millions of people will have their ritual cleansing bath on
eleven auspicious days from the beginning of January up to the end of
April. Haridwar is on the west bank of the Ganges, at the foot of the
Himalaya Mountains. Haridwar means “the gateway to Hari” (Lord
Vishnu). It is also called Ganga-dwara, because the holy Ganges enters
the plains here. This is one of the seven main holy cities in India.
Haridwar is about 225km northeast of Delhi.
