True Luxury Tours Jalore Wildlife Safari

True Luxury Tours Jalore Safari campsite is located on the private lands of the Takhur (Baronet) Chouhan of Kaniwara. The first and only private jungle reserve in India. These lands were a gift from the Royal family of Jodhpur seven generations ago to the Kaniwara Chouhan family. The Takhur has naturally preserved a large amount of his lands, with the help of True Luxury Tours, that run along nationally protected jungle area a total of 400 hectares in size. Other lands, with an area of 190 square kilometers, can be accessed only through the lands of Takhur. True Luxury Tours Safari campsite, in the center of the Jungle, is a twenty-minute jeep and a further fifteen-minute camel ride from the village of Dhavla, two and a half hours from Jodhpur.

The fauna of our Jalore Jungle area mainly consists of Indian gazelle, Peafowl, Blue-Bulls, Leapords, Indian desert Zird, Desert Monitor Lizard, Mongoose, Sand Snake, Desert Fox, the smallest Wild Cat in the world, the Rusty Spotted Cat, the rare Golden Cat, Hyena, Vulture, Jungle Owl, Ring, Little Brown and Spotted Dove, Black Winged Kite, Rock and Jungle Bush Quail, Large Grey and Jungle Babbler, Purple Sunbird, Small Green Bee-eater, Alexandrine and Rose-ringed Parakeet, Indian Myna, Indian Nighten-gale, Tawny Eagle and another approximately 150 species of birds.

The flora mainly consists of Mithijal (Salvedura Olyeoidis), Kaejuri (Prosopis Sinvevia), Rohida (Tecomela Andulaeta), Tribulus Rajasthaninusis, Banyan, Pipal, various wild savannah grass including Scenia and Dahmun, Thor (Uphorbia Cardesepholia), and various wildflowers.

A maximum number of eight guests at a time are allowed on our Jalore Safari campsite in our private jungle reserve to give you, our guest, a maximum amount of attention.
A one-night two day safari package includes private tent accommodation and one walking safari.)

Our Jalore Safari Campsite is open from September to May.
