The specifics for each wedding will be
arranged during a private consultation with our wedding coordinator
who will create a customized event designed to accommodate the
specific requirements of each client.
NOTE: Due to the highly variable nature
of this service, prices are dependent upon the specific plan
developed and will be provided accordingly.

WHERE:
Weddings can be organised on many of the Seychelles
islands. However, weddings are mainly arranged on the islands of Mahé,
Praslin and La Digue as these islands have all the necessary
infrastructures to ensure the smooth running of the event. For the civil
ceremony the venue is normally at the hotel where the couple is staying.
Many hotels offer a choice of beautiful locations: the exotic gardens,
the beach, terraces or hallsoverlooking the ocean. The religious
ceremony will be celebrated at the Cathedral or district church.
WHEN: Civil weddings are easily organised from
Monday to Friday. On two days a week, weddings can be officiated at the
Civil Status Offices. For weekends and public holidays they are subject
to the officer’s availability and a higher fee is applicable.
HOW: The civil ceremony will involve a Civil Status
Officer (Registrar) coming to the venue and celebrating the brief
rite.Two witnesses will be required.

Getting Married In Seychelles
Documents Required
• Copies of relevant pages of both passports showing
identity picture, details of name, date of birth, country of birth, and
date of validity of passports. Passports must be valid.
• Copies of both Birth Certificates
• Copies of documents to show that there is no
impediment or lawful hindrance to the marriage.
• Copies of Divorce Decrees (decree nisi absolute)
if applicable
• Copies of Death Certificates of former spouses if
applicable
• Copies of Previous Marriage Certificates, if widowed.
• Copies of any Name Change Documents if applicable
• Copies of parental consent for parties less than 18 years of age.
All documents must be in English or French. For original
documents in any other language,an English Translation must be
submitted. A Sworn Translator must certify the translation.Copies of all
documents (and translations where applicable) .

Ceremonies
Civil ceremonies can be performed on Mahé, Praslin and
La Digue at hotels on Mondays to Fridays (except public holidays)
between 14:00 and 17:00 local time, subject to availability of
Registrar. On request, and for an additional charge to cover transport
and expenses of the Registrar. ceremonies can be organised on the other
Outer Islands on request and atadditional charge.

Requirements
- Must be over 18 years old. Women under 18 need parental consent
- Weddings performed by a Registrar (Civil Status Officer) are
recognised in all countries. Special procedures apply for German and
French nationals.
- Minimum stay in Seychelles: 3 days provided all documents have
been submitted to Registrar for publication at least 14 days before
the wedding.

Charges and Costs - Our Wedding & Honeymoon manual consist of a
basic wedding package in Euro for each hotel which includes:

Cost of Registrar’s services for weddings held on
Mondays to Fridays on Mahe/Praslin/La Digue

Other services are quoted as optional costs

For weddings held during weekends and Public Holidays
the cost is Euro 40 as indicated under optional costs ‐ must be
included in the quotation where applicable.

If the booking for wedding with the Civil status
(registrar) is done less than 14 days prior to the wedding date, there
is a special licence fee of Euro 35 payable as indicated under
optional costs.'

An apostile is required, for some nationalities, to
make the wedding legal. The fee for this apostile range from Euro 40.
Please check with your Civil Status authorities whether this and/or
other requirements are applicable to your country to make the wedding
legal.

For clients from Russia & CIS countries apostile and
stamps are required.Additionally the wedding certificate is validated,
certified and translated by the Russian Consul in the Seychelles.
Posting of translated wedding certificate by courier service.

As it takes about a week to complete this formality
the translated wedding.

leaves Seychelles. The documents are then sent by courier service to

Note the legal marriage certificate issued in
Seychelles will be valid in Russia however note that no stamps will be

than 3 months old, must be submitted directly to the
French Embassy in Seychelles, at least one month before the proposed
date of the wedding.

Certified copy of the Birth Certificate.

translation of the Birth Certificate in French;

Certified copy of the National Identity Card or the
Passport;

A pre - marriage Medical Examination Certificate from
any medical practitioner

2. The French Embassy will arrange for the
publication for 10 days of the proposed wedding in the town of residence
of the future spouses; after which two copies of a certificate of
non-opposition to the marriage is issued by the Mayor, one for the
French Embassy, and one for the Civil Status Office in Seychelles.
3. After the completion of the wedding
formalities in Seychelles, the spouses must submit to the French Embassy
in Seychelles the original copy of the local Certificate of Marriage.The
French Embassy will issue a "Livret de Famille", and notify the
municipality of the place of birth of the spouses of the marriage.
4. Currently, the French Embassy in Seychelles
requires that the future spouses come once,physically, to the Embassy
(open Monday‐Friday 08:00 to 12:00, 13:30 to 16:00) with their original
documents.
