Originally named Gyatseling, which in
Bhutia language means “House of Bamboo” , the hotel was the
residence of an aristocratic lady and a prominent social figure of
Sikkim, late Chum Dorji Wangmo Barfongpa.
The hotel has been aesthetically designed to blend with the
environment and reflects the rich Sikkimese culture. The boutique
hotel is just two floors and an attic. The management of the hotel
is undertaken by Firefox Stay who bring their professional
experience and genuine warm hospitality. We also have an eco-resort
Bamboo Retreat, just on the outskirts of Gangtok. Central Location:
Situated just above the Mall Road and below the Royal Palace, Bamboo
Grove Retreat is ideally located. Parking & a private garden.( a
rarity in Gangtok) The property has 70% space available for an
outdoor garden and car park. There is ample space for parking 10 to
