Singapore By night
FIRST stop is Raffles landing site, at the mouth of the Singapore River. From here, take a river boat ride to Boat Quay to view night life by the river. Shops, bars, discotheques and restaurants line the river banks. At Clarke Quay we go for a dinner in a Chinese restaurant. After dinner rejoin the coach for a scenic ride via Benjamin Sheares Bridge to Bugis Village made infamous by sailors during the 60’s. At the bustling night market, bargains can be found for cassette tapes, VCDs, watches, T-shirts and other souvenirs.

 

Last stop is Raffles Hotel. This grand hotel has been restored to its former glory when guests included Somerset Maugham, Noel Coward and Liz Taylor.
