Peaceful
gardens well planted with fruit trees surround this unique Kodaikanal
house. Two
sunny rooms with private baths, detached from the main house, make the
stay truly
memorable.“Where you feel like a personal friend, not just a guest”
Relax…on the porch, or perhaps in the quiet of the living room where a
log fire awaits you on
chilly days. A selection of books, newspapers and magazines is at hand.Set
away from the bustle of the town centre, the lush lawns provide many
places to relax in
the sun or just savor quiet moments alone…wander through the garden
escorted by two
playful dogs and see unusual organic fruit and vegetables growing.A
delectable full western breakfast using home made cheeses, jams, breads
and more is
served at 8:30 am in the dining room. A gourmet dinner, using locally
grown produce is
served in the dining hall at 7:30 pm.
Accommodation
Our rooms are well insulated
with hard wood floors and pine ceilings to
keep the cold at bay. You will enjoy a good night's rest and wake up to
the chirping of birds and squirrels.
Guests find our porch a great place
to just relax or spend time in
conversations ranging from sustainability to global warming.
Then of course there is the living room
where dessert is enjoyed and
conversations continue.
Dining Today’s fast-paced, drive-through world often does not
present
the opportunity to think about the food that is being consumed,
where it came from or its history. When a guest at Cinnabar views
the chef’s creations on their plate, they are looking at far more than
a bean, carrot or pea. They are looking at living history—an
unbroken chain of genetic diversity handed down to us by our
ancestors
