It is situated on the bank of Alaknanda. standing like twin sentinels over the valley are the Nar and Narayan peaks, and in the distance soars the resplendent Neelkanth peak. The Badrinath temple is in the lap of Narayan Parvat with Neelkanth in the background. It is called the Moksh Dham / Vishnu Lok.
