At 5000 ft, just 11kms beyond the main town of Uttarkashi (Uttarakhand) into the Assi Ganga valley, outside hamlet of Kuflon, once famous for its ‘Kafal’ fruit trees – lies KUFLON BASICS.

Operational since 2004, Kuflon Basics is an owner run establishment with no efforts spared to keep the place simple, comfortable and harmonious with the surroundings. Your host, Anil Kuriyal is native to the place, settled in Kuflon to provide visitors the best of his world.

This experience with nature does not have to be about hard beds or unhygienic food. Every need and comfort is meticulously planned and taken care of, a perfect balance. Come, stay with us, walk, catch up on sleep, spend time reflecting and commune with nature. Choose from trekking into some of the famous, well preserved, unspoilt treks in the region or discover new places to go to. Or carry your optics and head off for spotting some rare birds. Or maybe just tea and a fishing rod to chase brown trout in clear, cold waters and find out water is our first element.

2 rooms with three beds  = 6 persons

That’s 5 spacious rooms! The rooms open on to respective balconies overlooking Kuflon site.
Toilets have a w/c, shower and running hot & cold water.
 

 Tents (without attached washrooms / toilets)

5 x twin beds = 10 persons

Tents have a permanent base and are furnished with twin beds, two cane chairs and a writing table.

Toilets are shared, there is a common area with w/c and showers. Hot water is provided in buckets.
