The journey to Horsley Hills is as beautiful as the destination - a dense growth of Eucalyptus, Jacaranda, Mohogony, Gulmohar, natural sandal wood and many other exotic trees will never once leave your side.

Bask in its soft sunshine, explore the greens or have a conversation with the clouds... enjoy Horsley Hills, any way you want to.

For those looking for a truly adventurous holiday, Horsley Hills is the place to be. Be it group or individual activities, you will find it all here. APTDC has partnered with Freak Outs, a Bangalore based adventure sports club to bring you a host of activities like....

  • Bungee Run -  The object of bungee running is to run as far away as you can, while a bungee cord pulls you back, eventually you can't pull any more and you give up and get dragged back to where the cord is anchored. Usually the bungee run is in a big inflatable (bouncy board). Enjoy this run in the lush, cool environs of Horsley Hills.

  • Zorbing - Zorbing or Sphering is the practice of traveling in a sphere, generally made of transparent plastic, usually for fun. Zorbing globe-riding is generally performed on a gentle slope, allowing the rider to roll downhill. Most spheres are constructed for a single rider, but some hold two or three. The longer runs are approximately half a mile. Globe-riding is very popular in hilly terrains like this.

  • Rappelling -  Rappelling is the process of descending a rope under control, used in rock climbing, mountaineering, caving and canyoneering; used to descend cliffs or slopes too steep to walk down. Rappelling is the quickest and easiest way to get the thrill of mountaineering.

  • Rock Climbing - In rock climbing you will climb up or across natural rock formations or man-made rock walls with the goal of reaching the summit of a formation or the endpoint of a pre-defined route. In rock climbing you need to climb by supporting your weight with your hands. Rock climbing is a physically and mentally demanding sport, one that often tests your strength, endurance, agility, and balance along with your mental control. The wide variety of rock formations around the these hills have made this such a popular sport here.

  • Trekking - You can trek the region around and if lucky enough, you may come across animals like Bears, Wild Dogs, Jungle Fowl, Sambars and Panthers can come across your sight. The splendor of Horsely Hills also led to it being known as 'Andhra Ooty'. Enjoy glorious days of trekking in this lush green hills.

  • Burma Bridge -  Burma Bridge is a three-rope arrangement on the obstacle course that bridges two ground structures. It's about 7 feet above the ground. There is one large rope for your feet and two smaller ropes on either side as hand-holds. The smaller ropes, positioned hip-high, are knotted at intervals to the larger base rope.

  • Horizontal Ladder - Participants begin the high course three feet on the ground and end up fifteen feet in the air by climbing a swinging ladder made of timbers and cable. The steps of the ladder are three feet apart at the bottom and get progressively farther apart.

  • Burma Loops - The Burma Loops consist of two hand wires, connected to the hand wires are ropes tied from one side to the other forming a loop that the participant will use to step on. The challenge begins as soon as you touch the second loop and your legs start swinging in unison with the Burma loops. Participating in this high ropes element will build endurance, problem solving skills, and team concepts/Survivor Games with our flags.

  • Earth Quake - This adventure sport same as Burma loops, just with a shaky base, to make the experience more adventurous.

Set your own personal challenge as you move from obstacle to obstacle. Each task brings new challenges, thrills and fun. While this is an intense experience, you will be closely supervised by trained facilitators. You will also at all times wear the appropriate safety gear provided. So, get set and do something totally adventurous.
