family house built with the grandeur of the British Raj in 1938 is now
your home in Pune. In 1983 this building was converted into a Hotel.
While furnishing it was kept in mind that it does not lose all its
heritage and charm, only the interiors were renovated. Thus till today
the building has maintained its grace.In 1996 we were awarded with the 1 Star status from the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. Situated just near the railway station and at a 2minute walk from, Taxi Stand, ST and PMT Bus Stop, it is very convenient for customers to reach us. The moment you enter in here, a lovely smile welcomes you and you feel absolutely comfortable and relaxed as if you are entering your own Home, that is why it is called Homeland. Restaurant Not only is Homeland a name synonymous with good staying, it also means delicious food and great spirits. The Restaurant Shamiyana is well stocked with a range of drinks to relish and serves the traditional Indian, Chinese and Tandoor food. You can just sit by yourself in the evening in the garden restaurant, listen to some soft music and spoil yourself with all your stomach can take. If you prefer the indoor, the air-conditioned wing with its choice of television channels and softly chosen décor is just apt.The restaurant now has a theatre of its own which gives entertainment during your meal and drinks a different dimension The Breakfast menu is a combination of Indian dishes and more Continental selection. For those who want a taste of traditional cuisine and good health, there is a list of dishes, which are a combination of peas, cabbage, spinach and pulses either in a bland form or a spicy manner. The Indian non-veg section consists of Chicken and Lamb dishes made as curry, masala, spinach or the more viscous butter dishes. Chinese dishes are easy to digest and make good accompaniments while you are having a drink. Our Chef comes up with the fried rice and noodles in different combinations . The Tandoor is an earthenware pot where coal is a fuel. A lot of dry dishes come up very tasty and with less use of oil. We have the Chicken Tandoor, Tikka and Kababs, which are made on the slower fire. All these dishes would be out of place without a list of drinks that quench your thirst. In summer, a chilled bottle of beer is the best. Our selection of brew range from being mildly fermented to the stronger fermented ones. We stock well-known brands like Foster of Australia and Kingfisher, which is sold overseas as well. For the whisky man, we have a blend of Rare Scotch and matured Indian Malts including the globally known UDV’s W&A Gilbeys and India’s largest selling McDowells’s No. 1. We also have 7 year old matured Rum. We also stock Premium Vodka, Gin with the lime tang to it and Brandy. This is the best place to be if you want to be by yourself or get your family and friends together. The food is delicious, ambience is delightful, drinks tempting and the whole combination overwhelming. Airconditioned, Non Airconditioned and Television rooms are available at your service. Check out time is 24Hours and laundry service is provided. Parking is no problem for are we have exclusive car parking space. We also have Children's Play Ground, a special bonus for families and children. A travel counter which caters to Bus/Rail/Air Tickets for all major destinations. We are authorised currency changers and also accept all major Credit Cards. Electricity cut down is the major problem of our city, but are we guarantee 24 Hours electricity since we have our own Generator. We also have our own environment friendly Solar heating system for water. Our grade 'A' restaurant boasts of serving delicious Indian Cuisine and a permit room serving a variety of liquor.
